Jerry Fuchs and I used to quote this back and forth to each
other in 1995. I just found the mp3 on WFMU's site.
Black Flag opened for Venom in '86 at Trenton's
City Gardens and thought they were the most
hilarious band ever. (Black Flag, while perhaps
not so "heavy" musically was heavier by din of
the fact that their dementia was legit, not a stage
act. Rollins never made nice with the crowd
between songs). Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth
released this as a 7" on his Ecstatic Peace label in
1990, I guess, to highlight the fact that the stage
ramblings are hilariously Spinal Tap-ish. The songs
from the set are merely spliced out... first chord to last.
I don't think Venom were that terrible of a band
regardless. Some people can't help sounding retarded
between songs. And this shit is funny.
