that may be a cliche statement, but it's true
for the first time in years my parents got it completely right without me having to hint or nag or hope.
we decided to do the one present to each person thing, which i loved. I got a homemade blanket from my mom which she used as a "wrapping" for my nail drier
my dad's gift was a digital camera. for once i feel like my dad knew me better than i knew myself.
then of course there are the stocking stuffers...it's a wonder the amount of stuff (especially stuff made out of a shopper's best friend...hint hint plastic ;) u can fit in one of those things
my dad even gave me a jimmy buffet CD. I never even asked for it. in fact, i didn't even know how much i really wanted a little "jimmmy" in my life. yeah cheeseburger in paradise.
got to chill with my aunt and uncle over a leg of lamb today... and my cuzes too, brandon and kevin, the drum playing college dude and the movie making video game geek. man i love em both
brandon didn't even recognize me, he just came down the stairs and was like "hey, jessica?" hehe, i guess i really have changed in the last year.
i think that realization is one of the best gifts of all
