I really liked this. I especially liked the explanation for Kirsten, because while on the surface, it does seem like she takes a hands off approach, 1) she is more reserved than Sandy and Seth (and she takes a hands off approach with Seth mostly too) and 2) that does make sense, that he'd not say no to her and she'd want to give him a chance.

I was daydreaming in the car, passenger, and started to think about Sandy and Ryan meeting up for lunch and it evolved and the part you cite, Kirsten's motivations ecame the centre for me, but I know you figured that out already!

I was rambling about Sandy and Ryan having lunch earlier today. I think while replying to Chazper's comment about how great it is that Ryan will be with Kirsten and Sandy in Berkeley.

This is so great - I love that Ryan is doing so well and has a bunch of friends there and you did a great job describing the little changes in him, like asking directly when something is bothering him.

And I so want him to babysit little Sophie and hang out with the Cohens. I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy now, and it's a nice change to the constant crying ;-)
