Education Research Idea
Somebody I know is applying for Bachelor of Education programs this month and it got me thinking. Given that thousands of people apply for these programs and given that most of these require essays on the meaning/role of education/teachers, some interesting research could be done on those application materials. Of course, there would be problems getting applicants to agree to participate but let's say you got over that problem somehow.
I'm thinking you could do some neat content analysis on the applications and gain some insights into how potential teachers viewed their profession...
