A Note on the US Elections...

I do hope that America will inspire the world tonight, but seeing as the Presidential race is hopefully secure in Sentaor Obama's hands, let's look at the other races. Er... in California, there are at least 14 Propositions. It might be up to 18 now, I'm not sure. So I don't know what your numbers are all about, but they're drastically off in terms of what I'd consider a ballot measure.

Some might just be more local. Like one question is whether the City of San Francisco should legalize prostitution. I'm not sure how exactly the voting works, though... I know bitchphd voted on that measure, but I'm not sure if she lives in SF or elsewhere in CA.

I just used CNN's numbers of propositions; they only tracked that many on their website. Maybe for them to count it it has to "interesting" and "state-wide"? I had not heard about the San Francisco one - I wonder if they will follow in Amsterdam's foot steps.
