fuckin 4 eyes nerd
so tomorrow is a sad and depressing getting old day as i have my appointment to finally get the eye glasses i have needed for awhile. margaret is even taking the afternoon off from work to pick out frames with me since i have never in all my years found a pair of glasses that didnt look like i was joking when i put them on. i cant believe what a nerd i am.
on plus side i can think of 3 things
3. being able to drive at night again
2. being able to watch movies with subtitles again
1. being able to watch hockey from a distance of more than 6 inches from the sceen
found out today one of my very old and best friends will be in jail for next 6 months for parole violation. 6 months just scares me shitless both in a is he going to come out of this intact, and in a there but the grace of god go i way. i could not deal with that.
i have spent the last 45 minuites trying not to think about either of the above by watching gulliver stalk and hunt a vicious ladybug. you may go aww poor lady bug but then you have no idea how really very bad he is at it. he is a little chicken, and the farthest he ever gets during one of his instinct driven killing predator rampages is putting his nose on the bug and smelling it.
i watched this is england yesterday which was an incredibel movie. i also watched the boxer overt he weekend and realised today that i have been facinted with every book and movie about poor margaret thatcher england and ira 1980's ireland and heroin scotland. i think my italian blood has a desperate wish to be from that place and time
