Interesting how certain things day to day remind me of past experiences.
In this case I went through phases of guitar design. Learning how they are made constructed and about all the different kinds; all they way down to the mechanical design and equations of the strings to acoustic sound based on woods sound whole location etc. With electrics it's a whole new ball game I studied the electrical diagrams and even have the breadboard schematic to make very interesting effects. I still have a diagram of a guitar I had planned to build. That is until I walked into a Charvel guitar shop and met the twins and all the killer guitars there. They actually had a guitar I had thought about - auto tune on the fly; like a mechanical switch to down tune on the fly. They schemed one up. Figures with a dad like Wayne. I was reminded about all of this when I saw Gibson's release of a Robotic Guitar, self-tuning. That's cool and all. Knowing the technical side of it. I'd rather not.
