[No porn, but to avoid being threadjacking assholes, continued from
this thread.]
Whatever.
[Alfred huffs, running a hand through his hair as his expression shifts through several different flavors of unhappy. He was not known for his ability to hide his own emotions for a reason, after all. And as angry as he is - as angry as he ALWAYS is when

[He rubs his arm unconsciously where the strike landed. Though there weren't any lasting effects, that's only because he's damned lucky. That seems to apply often in his life. He's never figured out why Alfred's never told; he never asked it of him. Half the time he's certain, in fact, that the lad did try to tell people, but no one believed him.
His expression does soften in response to the worry. Nice to hear that underneath all that bravado and bluster Alfred does at least care a little.]
I know you're not hurt, so I won't insult you by asking if you left your encounter with Braginsky unscathed.

Now, of course, that's different. He could get an audience with Death himself, turn Arthur in, he's an adult and people would believe him now.
He's kept silent. Even as the madness scare has kicked in and witches are going totally bugnuts.]
Please. He's a coward. I felt bad even threatening him.

[Hence why he is still sometimes surprised to be alive, well, and not marked as the enemy. Often, he is tempted to ask why, but he does his best to just not bring up magic around Alfred. The earlier part of their conversation being a prime example as to why.]

That does seem to be the best course of action. I don't suppose you'll let me actually be useful...?

... I guess we can work together if if looks like things are gonna go tits-up.

[He can tell you want to scream about that, so he's just going to reword things a bit. It's not that you need help, it's that he needs something to keep him occupied. See? Isn't that much more agreeable.
Though it won't do anything for their synch rate, will it? Damn.]

[There's another part to it, though. More than just his anger at Arthur. Alfred is a killer, a hunter. He's always clearly been a Weapon that's made for battle, for bloodshed, it was just a matter of tempering that to hunt down Kishin, to seek out and destroy madness, made all the easier with his abilities gained since graduation.
He's good at lying to himself. Too good, maybe. He knows there is something wrong with him. He doesn't want Arthur to see it.]

[He's more amused than annoyed, however. It's how Alfred is; he's rather used to it after all these years.
That position is one he's grown to understand a bit more as he's grown older and his magic has gotten stronger. Perhaps he is more inclined to simply destroy than engage in battle, but the overall sentiment is the same, isn't it? The need to have such drives tempered for the greater good.
He's also good at lying to others. Arthur has no idea anything is wrong with his former partner. When he finds out, he will likely be angry, upset, disappointed, disbelieving. He might call Alfred a hypocrite. But in the end, he'll likely understand.]

[Epic pout. With any luck Arthur will NEVER find out. Because he can deal with this on his own.]

[He means that in the nicest, most fond and sentimental ways. Somehow, that is doubtable.

[He used to be taller than you! It's not right!]

At least he frequently forgets that.]
But I have changed!

[He will hate the day that Alfred does finally remember he's bigger now. Why couldn't he stay cute and travel-sized forever?]

[That would have been so cute! A tiny travel-sized Weapon turning into a huge gatling gun. Alas, it was not to be.]
