I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of you wanting to improve your health and your life.
It must be frustrating to deal with this foot of yours after having such a dreadful infection for so long. I know how distressed one can feel with a chronic condition-you know, don't you? (By the way, did I tell you that I'm seeing an immunologist in Toronto in the new year?) The feet are maps for the entire body (since I'm interested in reflexology, I picked this up), and as bizarre as it may sound, this infection could be your body telling you to shake things up a little-all the while getting some medical assistance. I had an ingrown toenail years ago myself, and my doctor simply cut half of the thing off and put an end to it.
Yes, sometimes no news is good news. Just a suggestion-I would highly recommend you pick up (or borrow) a copy of SugarShock by Connie Bennett- a recovering sugar addict (like myself), who talks all about diabetes, hypoglycemia, inflammatory condition, etc, that are all due to refined processed sugar and 'quickie' carbs-as she calls them (loads of white bread, white rice, friend foods, etc.) I have found so much wisdom in this book, and have begun cutting back gradually on sugar and junk-not what I used to do-all the cold turkey obsessed days.
Like for instance, I have taken two weeks, and just cut out desserts. Nothing else. Eventually I'll be on track with mostly fruits, vegs, whole wheat, protein and a little milk and yogurt. I can even lend you the book for awhile, if you'd like ;-) Just so you can have a glance. It's amazing what she says-that almost ALL chronic conditions, diseases and afflictions can be credited toward overconsumption of suager and processed carbs. Interesting.
See you at the play sometime-Darrell is so great to have worked with!!!!!!! If and when you see me, I'll be quite dark, as we are all meant to look like people of Jerusalem ;-)
If this is any comfort at all, I hope it is, and I want you to have hope: Louise Hay, the founder of Hay House books has a wonderful book called You Can Heal Your Life. She had cancer, and was in pretty bad shape, but through all sorts of means including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing (really, really taking good care of herself), she healed herself of cancer, and is now well into her 80's. The girl looks about 50, for crying out loud!
I love you, and I know that whatever you put your mid to, you can do it, and I and all the rest of us are behind you all the way.
ps-ONE MORE THING! I have decided to take December off and heal myself just like Louise did, and that includes taking a month off from figuring out what I want to do with my life. Sometimes the best things come out of leaving things alone-unexpected, wonderful things.
