this day was supposed to be a whole lot better than it ended up being.
oh well.
on the plus side, i walked around amethyst brook for an hour or so and dipped my feet in the river. and i hiked up to the peace pagoda and sat on big rock by the pond for awhile. and i went to the co-op and sat on the stone wall and remembered a lot of shit, good and bad, about living across the street from there for 8 years.
here's some random thoughts (cause you care):
-my foot's been hurting pretty hardcore for a week or so now. ow. oh well.
-being ditched by everyone you know on 4/20 sucks so much ass it's not even funny.
-when i was lying on the rock at the peace pagoda, i could feel it pulsing under me.
-i have 2 papers and an exam due tomorrow. i'm slightly fucked, but not completely.
-they fixed up the house i used to live in, and now it looks halfway decent, and i wanted to throw rocks at it.
-when i was sitting outside the co-op, i remembered more details of my childhood than i ever have before - all at once.
-i want to be a kid again and have someone else do my worrying for me.
anyway. it's 4/20! that would be so much more exciting if today hadn't completely sucked socially... but it's happy anyway. it's like our national holiday or something. and the day's not over yet... it can still be saved. here's some choice quotes to mark the occasion, courtesy of bill hicks:
"They lie about marijuana. Tell you pot-smoking makes you unmotivated. Lie! When you're high, you can do everything you normally do, just as well. You just realize it's not worth the fucking effort. There is a difference."
"I believe that god left certain drugs growing naturally upon our planet to help speed up and facilitate our evolution."
"Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit... unnatural?"
so yeah. you should all go check out www.justaplant.com and read the story, cause it rocks.
that's all. looks like a fun evening of writing papers and studying for me.
oh, and it's the end of passover. so - l'shana ha ba'a yerushalayim.
peace.
