(no subject)
SO! Me and Sarah just got back to my house in the north burbs of chicago. We are sooo tired but I want to post and she is loading her pics into her computer as we sit here. ANYWAY, on to my review.
So Sarah arrived at my house around 2 today. We chilled here for a bit while I showered and made my shirt for tonight. Sadly the first shirt I made didn't turn out, but the second shirt was 10x better anyway so it's all gravy.
We left my house around 5-ish and stopped at McDonalds' drivethrough for a quality on-the-run dinner. When we got on the 294, it was bumper to bumper and it was that way for quite awhile. We started getting worried that we wouldn't be at the front for the show. We finally showed up at the venue just after 7pm. Sarah parked the car and I went in to 'get a place in line.' Turns out there really was no line, they just kinda had us all in a holding room before letting us into the main venue. I saw Tracy when I was walking in and then when I was walking up to the 'line' I saw Ana's friend Rita who we had seen at the Chicago show back in December. I overheard her talking about us and approached her. She is such a nice girl. We talked to her and these other two guys for a bit. Before we knew it they were opening the doors to the venue. Sarah and I ran to get our spots right in front. After awhile Sarah and I took turns going and buying merch. I bought a pink T and a sweatshirt. $60 bucks later I was much happier. LOL. Anyway, Sarah went and got her stuff, and then we stood there listening to DJ Sammy Jo and talking to Rita for a long while. I love Rita. She was totally hammered and kept telling me the same 3 stories over and over but I didn't stop listening cause she's so cute. I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON MY SHIRT!
Anyway, the Sisters came on and played a rocking set. I told Jake at one point when he was wearing that feathered contraption, "JAKE I WANT TO RUFFLE YOUR FEATHERS!" And he goes, "Anytime honey!" HAHAHHAA. Awesome.
Ana had new hair. It looked great. She looked great. Does she ever not look great?!!!!
I love this band.
Well, when the show was finally over, I managed to get a setlist from the nice stage crew man that we always bug for stuff we want from the stage.
After the show we hung around in the lobby for a short bit. I met Joe, Sarah, and the girl who's name I can't remember. I showed them my shirt and got invited to a Saint Patty's day Party just cause of it. HA!
We went outside and waited for the band after that.
JJ came out first. He went in the bus and didn't come back out, so no signature from him.
Sammy Jo came out after that. Then BabyDaddy. BabyDaddy was really nice to all of us and shared kind words with Carlos (TB).
Jake came out next. We stood there and talked for a bit. Then he was hungry and wanted to go to Taco Bell just down the street and wanted to know if anyone else wanted to go. So I walked there with him! We talked briefly. Alicia met us down there and so did Joe, Sarah, and that other girl, but those 3 left, and then Sammy Jo showed up too. We couldn't go inside to get food, so Jake, Sammy, and I got in Alicia's car and went through the drivethrough. It was surreal. After we pulled outta the drivethrough, Sammy Jo got out of the car cause he was going to walk back the couple of blocks and Alicia went into some family restaurant to go to the bathroom, so me and Jake were just sitting in the car together. It was totally awesome. When Alicia came back out we drove back to the theater and sat in the parking lot in her car for a bit and talked with Jake. He's so down to earth. I love it. He finally said he was going to hit the hay and gave us all a kiss and we said our goodbyes.
Then we got out of the car cause Paddy and Ana were coming out of the building. We had some good convo with the two. Sarah got her pic taken again with Paddy and I chatted with Ana. It was great times. We finally left. It all went by too fast but it was really fun and I'm glad Sarah got to come! She's staying over tonight and driving back tomorrow. I can't believe I went to Taco Bell with Jake. HA.
PS - My shirt was a green t-shirt and said 'BUTTSEX.' in white lettering with silver glitter around it. It got all of the band's attention. BabyDaddy, Jake, and Ana all commented on it after the show when we were outside.
