It's been a week neither good nor bad. Sometimes great, other times depressing. I take them equally, whatever I can get.
Apparently, the fault line that runs throu Los Angeles as at its all time widest, meaning we are due for the largest earthquake seen in recorded history. That's extremely reassuring.
I drove down to San Bernadino to meet up with Jen and John, who were visiting family in the area during their extensive trek from Washington by car. I drove up a winding mountain pass, and hiked amongst trees and wildlife. I saw the lights of southern california with two great friends from an elevation of 7000 ft.
I met my first biker in L.A. to be riding fixie, brakeless. I was extremely excited. Apparently i just missed a big bike film festival though...
Director John Landis (Animal House, American Werewolf in London, etc) came into Woring Title for a meeting the other day, and was exceedingly OUT OF HIS MIND. I've never talked to anyone that was so spastic about our soda choices...
Ashley scored sweet tickets to the opening night of the hollywood bowl, and we watched John C. Reilly sing a song from seats that were definitely waaaay to expensive for the like sof us. We downed wine samples and $10 spits of champagne while sitting next to uptight white people eating brie with sweaters tied off around the shoulders.
The blue man group played with an orchestra, and Carols Santana wasn't half bad either...
You know, thinking about it, this week was actually pretty amazing. As hard as things are financially right now, and as unsure as my future seems, I cannot complain about ANYTHING. I have too much to be thankful of in my life.
