I'd almost entirely cleaned out Knox's office, while wearing a full bio-hazard suit and while a full team of bio-chemical and mystical teams there to back me up. There wasn't going to be any chance of me or anyone else falling prey to one of Knox's traps. The teams were able to confiscate everything in his office, determine whether or not it was dangerous and dispose of everything safely. While I was in my office I received a call telling me that there was a sarcophagus stuck in customs that was bound for Wolfram and Hart. I instructed them to put it in a room, let no one touch it and it would be taken care of.
A team went to customs, retrieved the coffin and were flying it back to The Deeper Well an hour after I hung up the phone. I wasn't sure if anyone would be infected with Illyria this time around, seeing as Illyria was walking around, but I was not about to take any chances. I knew how it felt to have your insides liquefy and then harden while a demonic parasite rips its way through your body. I knew the complete pain and anguish of knowing that you're dying and not being able to do a damn thing about it, and I was not going to let that happen to anyone else.
A few cases were stacked up on my desk, and since I missed my department and working, I started thumbing through some of the files. After an hour, I was able to figure the causative agent to one man's affliction that was causing a hand full of people to be in comas for inexplicable reasons. I wrote out the cure and the instructions for my team for the morning. I was going to come in late, and I wanted this taken care of as quickly as possible.
After almost two more hours, and not getting anywhere on the current case I was reading, I realized I should probably head back to Wesley's apartment. I was tired and hungry and he was probably worried about me by now. I knew he hated when I was in the building by myself, and I didn't want to cause him to worry unnecessarily. I straightened up my desk, grabbed my things, when I heard the door to the lab open and close. I stepped out of my office, holding my jacket and purse and gave a small, but confused smile, "Um..hi there...can...um can I help you?"
