you put all your hope in my slim chance

Dear Internet Land,

Its been awhile, I apologize if my absence has worried or confused you; don't worry I still love you, I just needed some space. I've been sucked into this whirling vortex called life. It's fucking scary. Life consists of midterms and papers, cover letters and job interviews, phone calls and apartment hunting. It's like some bratty 4 year old dumped 3 seperate million piece puzzles on the floor together and now you've got to figure out which piece go with which puzzle and how they all fit together...while you take care of the afore mentioned 4 year old.

The papers and midterms all went well enough, with the exception of that 1 physiology midterm that I failed (seriously, 48%).

I've applied for 5 jobs: 1 company cancelled the posting, 1 company decided not to interview me, 1 application hasn't been sent off yet, 2 have asked me for interviews. I had an interview with Kintec Footlabs on Saturday for an 8 month position as a Pedorthic Assistant making peanuts; I think it went pretty well. Next Monday I have an interview with Columbia Health Care for a 4 month position as a Student Kinesiologist making slightly more than peanuts. Kintec is in North Van. and Columbia is in Langley so if I get a job at either it'll be an hour or 2 on transit each way.

I'm moving out with Shannon. We don't know where we're living yet. Apartment hunting is obnoxious and frustrating but it will be nice to have our own place.

I am a little overwhelmed and exhausted at the moment but I get the distinct pleasure of not stopping. I can't remember the last time I slept in and if you know me at all you know that this could very well be a sign of the apocalypse. I say that I've been in energizer bunny mode but it isn't all midterms and papers and interviews and wanting to scream when landlords show me "2 bedroom suites" that only have 1 bedroom; there have been concerts and bowling nights and randomly hanging out with friends. This week the floor is going out for dinner because Sean, Sean, Chelsea, and Amy all have birthdays and Patrick Watson is playing at UBC (because I won't be able to make Victoria) and I've finally figured out how to get home from UBC at 1am.

So pretty much I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off for the past month and will continue to do so for the next month but not always in a bad way (although I'm sure the decapitated chicken probably doesn't think there's a good way to run around headless).
