Non Voter
Every now and then someone on my FB will post a link to some contest online and ask me to vote for their friend or family member's entry so that they can get something awesome. It's usually a photo or video contest or something else that requires some talent to put together. And pretty much every single time this happens I will click the link, look at the picture/video/whatever, and then not vote for anything. Mostly because when I click on the link, I also see a bunch of thumbnails of other entries for the contest and I realize that social media has turned competitions like this into internet popularity contests rather than a true competition based on skill or quality. The person with the most friends and friends of friends is going to win, and I don't want to contribute to that. In a perfect world, I would go through all the entries one by one and pick the best one to vote on, but I'm not invested enough to make that time contribution, so I don't vote on any of them in the end.
