14th Observation - Speicus [open commentlog]

[Fred's library cataloging is proceeding as quickly as one might hope, but as a result of the day-night cycle not meaning much here, his sleep schedule has drifted, and he's fast asleep in the middle of the afternoon. However, his symbiont not being the type to waste time, it has borrowed Fred's motor functions, and to all appearances, Fred is wide awake.

He's seated at a table, stacks of books in front of him, and is flipping through them impossibly quickly, turning pages after only a glance. After he finishes a book, he enters a series of numbers into a keypad on his right, sticks something on the inside cover near the spine, and moves the book to a different stack.

Someone perceptive will notice that Fred, while generally reasonably graceful, is now moving with a spare efficiency that's machine-like in its precision. Anyone not paying attention will just find Fred's body language subtly, creepily alien--because Speicus doesn't have any.]

OOC: Speicus will interact at length with anyone, because its mandate is information-gathering. It's not hostile, but it's also not friendly, because it's essentially a vastly intelligent computer.

my alien symbiont says hi, no information is useless
