The killing? What exactly goes on here? Is this some kind of... twisted... massacre cruise? What's doing the killing? Is it a demon?

I'm assured death is almost entirely temporary, but I still think going around dishing it out displays a certain lack of courtesy.

Well, I've never actually heard of a demon that does advertise. Certainly would make hunting them down a tad easier, though.

Our fellow passengers are doing the killing, and I've never heard of a demon, period, Faust and so forth being fiction.

I assume our hosts are running periodic backups on the passengers. It's not commonly done where I'm from, but other civilizations have other priorities.
