[You just saved her hours of looking around in the library!]

Thank you, I didn't know. I'll find him something suitable.

[The frog in her pocket agrees.]

You're welcome.

Keep it moist, too. Amphibians have permeable skin and lose water to the atmosphere quickly, and are too dumb to jump in the water on their own.

I knew that, thankfully. Mine seems content to remain in my coat pocket, though.

They don't exactly have a rich inner life, so as long as you keep them fed and comfortable, they're happy just about anywhere.

[Aww, poor smallbrained froggy.] I will remember that, mister...?

Cassidy. Fred Cassidy.

[He pauses briefly to hate himself for doing that.]

And you are...?

[Whyfor hating yourself, Fred?]

Rfena. There's no last name.

[Because he sounded like James Bond, and Fred thinks James Bond is a mega-tool.]

Pleased to meet you, Rfena.

You were the one toasting marshmallows last week, weren't you?

[Haha, its okay, Rfena doesn't know James Bond.]

Its good to meet you too, Fred.

And yes, I was! My room is on that deck, so it seemed like a good idea.

Gotta do something with it, don't you?

I was considering running a heat engine off it, but then I realized I don't have any use for a heat engine.

A heat engine?

Fred has an alien computer dissolved in his blood, jsyk. fred_cassidy September 20 2009, 23:35:45 UTC
A device that converts heat energy to mechanical energy using a temperature gradient.

It increases the entropy of the universe, but what doesn't?

[/ There are many theoretical null-entropy processes, Fred. /]

Quiet, you. TANSTAAFL.

That sounds like loads of fun. lfetimewarranty September 20 2009, 23:55:29 UTC
Ah. That sounds neat - I should read up on that.

[tanstaafl?]

...Are you okay?

Fred likes it. The computer seems to, as well. fred_cassidy September 21 2009, 00:13:44 UTC
I'm fine, why?

[Fred doesn't realize he sometimes talks to Speicus out loud.]
