5K is a big challenge for me, and the last time it took me more than 40 minutes to complete the run, so if Kirez was to be at work on time, we had to be at the track by 5:15-5:20 a.m. Nice...

The alarm went off at 5:00 a.m. Kirez switched it off and came back to bed. Silence...

Tiny little *hope* started raising its head - "no run, no run, no run!!" Just keep silent - you're asleep...

Laughing out loud...

Back when I ran 3-5 times per week, I would pick one run to be a longer distance at a slower pace. And other runs to be shorter distances at faster speeds. If I could run 5K, then doing 3K felt easier mentally and I could allow myself to run a little harder, knowing that it would be over sooner.

Yeah, this 'it would be over sooner' thoughts are exactly what is killing me :) Because this 'sooner' is always too far, and because the faster I run, the more I want to stop, and then the 'sooner' becomes 'later', because I have to stop and walk. And every time I stop I'm hating myself for being week. I noticed that it is easier to not stop for the first time, then try to convince myself to run without stopping again after I already did it once.

In the morning I did 'half' of the Murph workout

it was

800 meters run
50 body-rows (instead of pull-ups :()
100 push ups
150 squats
800 meters run

Second 800 meters killed me! I couldn't expect it to be that hard. I had to walk half of the way. And I remember this thought so clearly - 'you already failed, you stopped and walk - why run now?', and I walked again. And again...
