this was my email i sent to josh today, updating him on stuff.
this is my life. welcome to it.
"this is the point in my night where i update you on absolutely everything because i feel like we haven't communicated in so long. so much has been happening. i've gotten caught up in my own shit and keep forgetting to email you. i even make myself post it notes to remind me. but i never do it. so here's my updates from this week:
i have a portfolio due next month for my educational psychology class. and the portfolio is for my social work degree. it basically just helps me out for the future, when i try to get a job. but its our biggest project and im putting a lot of time into it and it's stressful. (i've been on this do as much as i can now-kick, instead of waiting til the last second/procrastinating) so i have to go home tomorrow because the lady that i worked for when i volunteered at the hospital is writing me a reference paper for that. she also set me up a field experience/job shadow of a social worker on thursday morning from 9-11. i have a class here at 1 so i have to leave early to get back here in time. and she's also writing me a reference paper for a scholarship that i have, and for my RA application form that i'm applying for, for next year. chances are there are way better candidates here for being an RA than me, but i'm involved in a lot and our "house mom" told me i should do it. its basically a scholarship in itself. free meal plan, partial room and board, stuff like that. so that knocks off a lot of expenses. i have four scholarship forms for sophomores that i'm applying for as well. and i have to go home to get some information in order to fill those out.
things are a bit hectic, i never had to do this much even like, senior year or anything. the only thing i have left to do is go back to East and have my art teacher fill out another reference form for me for one of my other scholarships. she knows me a whole lot better, so i thought she'd be better to ask. I was also considering asking Cindy (the lady i babysit for). who knows. and lastly, im head of our new housing committee for our building. they wanna make our sorority co-ed next year, and we're trying to fight it. so that takes up quite a bit of time. i'm doing a petition and conducting a bunch of stuff for it."
i'm hoping to figure out things with shawn tomorrow night too.
