It always freaks me out when it happens. Keep thinking I should ask a doctor, but hardly seems worth it since it doesn't hurt me or seem to stick around that long. Still weird though.

The contrast between the ondine and the personal history is a lovely juxtaposition - I didn't know the bit about gaining a soul by having a child, and "you, I can live without" is just great in its matter-of-fact-ness.
