LJ Idol season 8 week 2 prompt: three little words.

I've bought a dozen roses and passed them out to strangers. I've folded a shopping bag's worth of paper cranes and left them on bus stop benches around the city. I gave $20 to a woman on the street who looked so beaten down it made my heart ache. These things do not make me a hero or a saint. They ( Read more... )

Fortune cookie messages are great aren't they? Sometimes they're just so silly. My parents taught me the game of adding "in bed" to the end of every fortune cookie message. Surprising how often it works and how much laughter it can generate. You should try it sometime (if you haven't already).

First of all, I am very sorry about your pain from your break up.

It's so much easier to give a compliment than to receive one. I can relate to that. I really liked this.

I've seen evidence of glamour-bombing done in my home city, but never done it myself. I always feel too guilty to write on anything.

I like the idea of leaving something for other to find, to make them smile, though. Interesting entry :)

I admit that I do occasionally feel guilty about writing on things. But I figure that: a) it's not destructive, it's constructive if it makes people smile; and b) they can always paint over it if they really don't like it. Though that would be kinda sad.

What a nice piece of graffiti to find. UCSC was full of all sorts of hidden gems like that. I miss Santa Cruz :)

Hahahahahaha woo! I miss Santa Cruz too, though I admit I do _not_ miss the loud parties my next door neighbors threw once a week the year I was struggling to finish my thesis.

Mind if I ask what year you graduated? I was 2008, after taking 5 years total (long story).

I took 5 years too, so no shame there. I graduated 2005.
