So I went to Target today, and to my surprise, they had seasons 1 and 2 of Veronica Mars on sale for only $19! This is the first time I've ever seen anything other than season 3 at Target (cuz I've been looking since like April), and so I was SO excited. Of course it's just my luck that I only had like $20, but at least I was able to buy S1. I can't wait to actually see it in good quality, without those ~lovely Chinese subtitles. I'm hoping I'll be able to get back to Target this week and buy S2, because despite its faults, I still really liked it. It's too bad that there aren't really any special features, except for deleted scenes, but at least I *have* the DVDs and there are subtitles.
LOL, and also I went into the Disney Store on a whim, and I was shocked to see that they are selling replicas of Demi's
fugly boots from Camp Rock. Why would anyone want to wear shoes that look like that? Ugh.
Also, I learned that they now sell Disney Barbies, not only of the princesses, but the guys as well. If I was younger, I would totally want Jasmine and Aladdin Barbies. Which reminds me, I really need to see that movie again. It is probably my favorite of the Disney cartoons, although Mulan, The Lion King, and Pocahontas are close behind. And A Whole New World is probably tied with Can You Feel the Love Tonight for my favorite Disney song. Interestingly enough, we sang both of those songs in my school choir, which made me happy.
And then we went to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch. tbh, I don't really get the hype about it, but I had this really good chicken Caesar sandwich on herb-onion foccacia. So yummy. My younger sister (the one who's 6 1/2) was kind of being a brat though, and had a little ~*~outburst~*~, but thankfully there was like no one in the restaurant because we went there right when they opened.
More Olympics tonight! I think Phelps is swimming two races, one of which is the 200 IM which means I'll get to see Ryan Lochte again. He hasn't been on my TV nearly enough so far this week. OH! And I read somewhere that if Phelps wins all gold medals until Saturday, they may show his last race live everywhere, not just on the East Coast! I REALLY really hope so, as it sucks how we're the only place in the world where we don't get live coverage. Oh, and this is random, but is anyone reminded of Elizabeth Mitchell when they see Kerri Walsh (tall, blonde member of the women's beach volleyball team)? I just realized that yesterday, and when I heard Kerri talk, I thought that even more.
So I've been listening to the full version of
Hello, Goodbye that the Jonas Brothers did, and I like it a lot more than I did just from seeing the Target commercials. For one thing, in the snippet used the main commercial I've seen, it's mostly Nick singing in his whiny voice, which doesn't really sound good. I mean, I know Target wants a happy/peppy commercial, but I think they could pick a better portion of the song for a different commercial (preferably the part where Joe's singing at like 1:30). OH, and I love that Kevin got a line to sing. He should sing more often.
ETA: Nevermind! I got the download links to work. They must have just been overloaded earlier from so many people downloading them. I can't wait to watch this!
