I am moving to Charlotte, and I'm going to be having some extra free time so I thought I'd get back into the lj...plus some people have been nagging me to use it again!
I've also seen some interesting journals around that I would want to keep an eye on.
We just got back from Phoenix Rising in New Orleans which was so much fun! We stayed down bourbon street, past all the crazy party party drunk people, in the gay district. We had an awesome balcony that I sat on everynight reading andre codrescui (sp?) and smoking. It was so amazing. I wish I could live in the french quarter. Jay T. (one of the guys who owns the guest house we stayed in) said "There are only two places to live, New Orleans and Paris, anywhere else you are just existing". Seemed true from what I saw. Definately a magical place, the perfect setting for a Harry Potter conference!
So yeah, moving to Charlotte. Hopefully going to be working at the jail library. Maybe going to school, maybe waiting a year to go back...most importantly getting away from the drama of Augusta. I was talking to Sarah and it's like she said, Augusta is a big town with a very small town mind-set. Some how everyone knows everything about everyone...oh well, it's really not that bad but I'll be glad to get out and experience a new town.
The one thing I am disapointed about moving is that I was going to be taking a history of witchcraft and paganism class in the fall that was going to hopefully be the shit. I already bought some books that I was going to use for it so I'll just read up on it more in-depth on my own.
Alright that's about it for now, I'm going to go re-vamp the look of this bitch real quick...
