I love reading about all my friends on LJ it really makes me so happyandmissing all you. I realize I'm being a little selfish by not posting anything myself. I am currently working at a camp in CO and loving it so very much. I'm at the base of a mountain and am living at about 8,500 feet elevation. I've only gotten one ridiculously bad migraine so far.
Here are some things I like here:
-It's beautiful and leaves are beginning to change so when you look up at the mountains there's all these little bursts of yellow
-The people I work with are wonderful, truly. Two families and the other program assistant. Both families have us over all the time for games, and just to talk.
-There are two dogs that are so fun and they are good to go on hikes with
-Eating fresh trout straight out of the lake while camping out in a tent that was covered in frost when we woke up.
-THE STARS!!
-Our cook for retreats is amazing, she made us some delicious eggplant stackers.
-Just made some new/old friends out here, the ones and onlys Nina and Red,
-One of the families here has a 1 and a half year old that is so hilarious and entertaining.
-Learning how use a bow and arrow
-There's a small creek and tons of little spots to sit and just be in the woods.
-I went to the Black Canyon, amazing and scary b/c the cliffs just dropped straight down.
-Playing dominos
-Watching movies and drinking wine with my roomie Brittany
-Driving 4 miles to get the mail
The things I don't like are so silly and unimportant really like the grocery store not having a very big variety of food, and my cell phone doesn't work out here very well.
The hardest thing is being so far from my family and so many of my friends. But I'm very present where I am and that's good and I hope to write lots of letters/songs/poems/
Today was one of the first days I got to sleep in.
