High, so high, but here it is. You should read that first, if you haven't already. Or at least read the end again, if you have, and cannot remember it.
And before you shout at me for the repeated cliffhanger and still no higher rating: I'm still writing while you read this, I just figued I'd post part of it already after I haven't posted in so long.
I don't promise another update today, but I might manage one.
It doesn't happen the next day, the next week or even the next month. Daniel is sure that Fernando doesn't remember any of it and he never expected anything else, so he acts like nothing happened in the first place, joins in the others' teasing about how high Fernando was and if anyone asks, he tells them he brought Fernando home and then left again.
He almost believes it himself, only sometimes little things bring the memories of that night back. Like when Fernando smiles at him openly and relaxed, when he stretches right in front of him. Most inconveniently when they're in the dressing room changing in or out of clothes.
Then he remembers how Fernando had leaned into him at Pepe's house, how pliant Fernando's body was later, how his cock felt in his hand, getting harder with each stroke, lips on his own, a hot tongue in his mouth.
And he's torn between wanting to forget himself and wanting to remember in even more vivid detail. Because the memory tortures him and on the other hand it's all he's got.
And when it happens, it takes him completely by surprise.
They're at Pepe's house, not allowed to drink a drop of alcohol, having loads of fun without it. Pepe, Fernando and Carra the centre of the shenanigans, entertaining their team mates with ridiculous dance moves right now.
Daniel hands his Coke to Fernando when he comes over, sweaty and gorgeous, who accepts it with a grateful nod and downs the glass in one go.
“Hah, that was good. You come dance now.”
“Oh no, I don't dance.”
Fernando turns his twinkling eyes on him, fully aware of that fact, but obviously not deterred. “We already made asses of ourselves, it's your turn.”
“Yeah, well, no, thank you.” But he gives in when he sees Dirk and Lucas moving towards the dance floor as well, figures it won't matter when not all eyes will be on him. And maybe people will be distracted from him by Fernando, who is a really good dancer when he wants to be.
He feels a bit awkward anyway, his limbs not exactly cooperating, and Fernando laughs at him. “Not so stiff, Dan!” He grabs both of Daniel's hands and shakes his arms, still laughing, before pulling him in a bit, moving his hands to the inside of his elbows, guiding him into the rhythm of a song Daniel has never heard before.
They move around, Daniel getting more relaxed and actually able to keep the rhythm and his body moving in a way that doesn't feel completely ridiculous. “Very good. With practice, you might actually get mediocre.”
Fernando laughs again, that laugh where he throws his head back a bit, shows a lot of teeth and the corners of his eyes wrinkle a lot.
“Sorry, we cannot all have Spanish blood in our veins.”
“Apology accepted.”
Daniel thinks about responding, but then just shakes his head and continues dancing. Fernando has dropped his hands off his arms, but they're moving quite close to each other still anyhow. The spot they have cleared for dancing in Pepe's sitting room isn't that big after all, and more and more people join them. When Daniel realises that the wives and girlfriends join them too, that someone put on some slow music, he stops and turns away. That music is for couples, not for someone having uncomfortable feelings for one of his friends who happens to be standing close by.
But he isn't allowed, Fernando pulls him back, right into his body, keeping a more or less proper distance, but not enough for Daniel, whose heart has started to beat wildly.
“If you want to be a good dancer, you have to learn all kinds of dances.”
“I think I have learned enough for today.”
Fernando smiles at him encouragingly, stepping a bit closer. Daniel notices that his stance has changed and he looks at him, gauging, contemplating what, Daniel doesn't know.
Fernando still smiles, but it turns a bit slopy, like he is uncertain, and then he puts both hands on Daniel's face, stretches himself and puts a gentle kiss onto his forehead.
“I want you to fuck me.”
And Daniel's heart stops. Just like that. The gesture and the words are too familiar to be accidental and he realises Fernando remembers. Everything.
His heart starts up again, so fast as if it's trying to make up for the last few seconds, and Daniel starts shaking, because he wants it, fuck does he want it.
Daniel is sure his voice would shake too, so he just nods and relies on Fernando to pull him through the crowd, to get them somewhere where they can be alone.
