"Aw, sweetie," I rub my hand along London's back. "You know she can't, she has to stay here with Angel."

I don't even shudder when I say his name anymore.

"'Sokay, kiddo," I follow London down into tha main area o' the buildin', "I got somethin' for ya, though. C'mhere. 'S a present."

I watch the girls saying goodbye, amazed that Melaka got so fond of a vampire in so short of time. Quite a change from our first meeting. London's hard not to find adorable, though.

I walk over to them, glance at Willow. "Thanks for your help," I say, "And say hello to Buffy for me." I smile at London. "Hope you had a nice visit--come back any time."

I can't help it but feel a little sad to see London crying the way she is. Judging by the way Mel's treating her, it's something London's surely missed. Just being treated like a child and not some kind of killing machine. I glance side-long at Angel and smirk a little, "I'll be sure to tell her that."

I speak low, to Willow. "We're going to try to give Kennedy time for the drugs to clear her system, maybe it'll help." I want her to know that's why we're keeping her here. "And she did give us a little useful information."

I turn to look at him face-on, giving him my full attention. A part of me's not sure if I heard right, but most of me is grateful. "That's good," I nod after a long minute.
