Two Way Action

  • Inability to concentrate; unable to retain information from studies of interest, even after taking and reviewing notes.
  • Light-headed after standing; temporary "blindness" upon moving forward (peripheral vision becomes impaired).
  • Prickles descend repeatedly down each limb when standing for a prolonged period of time, even when room temperature is approximately 70°.
  • Occasional tension headaches that encompass temples and abaft the head.
  • Severe menstrual cramps lessened only by Advil.
  • Nausea when standing for a prolonged period of time; only occurs if preceded by aforementioned prickles and hot flashes.

As if those symptoms weren't severe enough, it seems tomorrow's appointment has been canceled. I am less concerned for the last five as I am for the first, which worries me deeply when taking my family's mental history into consideration. The latter seems characteristic of low blood sugar, which is easily remediable, but I don't care--I simply wish to read my miniature library of books without forgetting everything twenty pages in.

School is going well. I believe we've hit week five, now, and have nearly finished up the first quarter. The only event worth mentioning is that I dropped A.P. Environmental Science two weeks in, due in part to the Doctor's love of Eugenics; now I'm stuck in a general class full of doobie-smoking peons because there is nothing more for me to take. However, I've managed to gain the respect of half the science department by "outshining" the majority of their students--and for their many kind words, I am grateful. I've spent quite some time discussing politics (among other things) with the lot of them on my own time, and often come home rather giddy as opposed to my usual demeanor.

Amidst playing catch-up with my homework and juggling the latest family burdens, I've fallen in love. His beaming countenance governs my every thought, and I can find no other means of expressing my feelings for him other than through the pilfering of writings authored by men and women of far greater intelligence than I could ever hope to be. I do believe there is a quote for that as well...
