crazy weekend in toronto
so this past weekend was the axe party. it was pretty insano.
Friday morning consisted of shopping like mad at masonville. I think I went to 5 stores before I found tshirts that I could layer. I hate long sleeve plain shirts and that's basically what most stores had.
Ashley and I got on the train around 4 and arrived in Toronto around 6. We (and 2 others) got picked up by a limo and were taken to our hotel. We settled in and then took a walk down Yonge street. Tried to find a CIBC but there was no luck. We headed back to the hotel and stopped for yummy Sushi on the way. Laid around the hotel room for a bit and then headed down to the hotel bar. Met up with some people Ashley met at the last Axe party and drank with them. Due to my crazy early morning we were in bed and I was fast asleep by midnight.
We slept in pretty late on Saturday. Went to the Golden Griddle for brunch. Got the Breakfast buffet and it was sooooooo tasty. Then we went allllllllll the way through gaytown to find a BMO. Cashed her free $200 in spending money and then went back to the hotel a bit. It was pretty rainy that day so we couldn't really walk downtown, so we went to see Corpse Bride. It was a pretty decent movie.
We went back to the hotel and got ready for the big party. Some people came to our room and drank with us, then we hit up the hotel bar again and drank 1 more. We met up with all the other (60) big winners in the hotel lobby and then got in cabs and headed to the party. With already 4 beers in me and an open bar things got pretty messy.
We headed to the other room and Ashley ran into another guy she met at the last party. He ended up being from my hometown and went to my highschool. I ended up hanging out with him and his buddy for most of the night. Apparently Max and I were interviewed .. but I don't recall it whatsoever. When they come out with a DVD there's a good chance I'll be on it.
Apparently L'il John, Joss Stone and others performed, but I don't remember any of that. Apparently a lot of people got kicked out too.. which is understandable when you have an open bar. I managed not to, Ashley wasn't so lucky. I didn't find her until after I found out she had already got kicked out. I was lucky enough to find some people I knew and I cabbed it back with them.
I went back to our room .. Ashley was there and had been sick. She started to get sick again and I had to leave. Puking grosses me out. As soon as I got into the hallway I ran into these hot Quebec boys and ended up chilling with them until the early morning.
We got up and were out by 11am. Got a Limo ride back to the train station, hopped on the train and was home just after 2.
I spent all day Sunday doing absolutely nothing. At about 1am Burke invited me over, so I got in a cab and spent the night. Things are still going pretty swell. They've been going pretty swell for about 5 or 6 weeks. People keep asking if we're "official" or "what's going on" .. but right now I'm not ready to define anything. I like how things are going right now. When I'm ready I'll ask what's going on .. or maybe he'll beat me to it. Who knows. All I know is he's fantastic and I don't want to rush anything.
