Should I go and perform mutilations?
Tonight I helped my mother babysit some second cousins of mine. One is a 3 year old boy named Jake and the other is a 1 year old girl named Ella. Ella is ~so cute~ and pretty easy to handle. Jake is more evil than Damien from The Omen. Honestly, a couple of times I wanted to smack him upside the head and scream 'CHILL OUT'! He is horrible about sharing toys. At one point, Ella went to grab some toys that Jake wasn't even playing with and he leapt through the air, put her in a headlock, and dragged her to the ground. My mother yanked him off and dragged him to a chair for a time out and his shrieking and kicking sent chills down my spine. Christian doesn't like sharing with Koda either but he doesn't TRY TO KILL HIM. I guess Ella is used to being abused by her brother because she never cries when he shoves or hits her.
I've never flat out disliked a kid before but Jake is just awful. Even my mother, who has seen it all when it comes to kids misbehaving, was really damn frustrated with him. I hope we don't have to babysit them again for a long time (unless it's just Ella) and aren't invited over to their house anytime soon either.
