I'm no good at keeping this up-to-date...

Goodness. It's been quite a while since I wrote a real entry. January was pretty good. In the middle of the month, I went with Leo and his family to Columbus, Ohio because John (Leo's brother) was playing in a music showcase. It was a very long weekend and a very long car ride, but it was very fun. The week after that I went to WV to visit with Dad and Robin. We had a pretty good time and I actually got to bring my TV back with me. (If you don't know why that's exciting, let me know and I'll fill you in on the story.)

This past weekend I went to Raleigh for my birthday. Leo was very, very sweet to me. I got into town around 11ish or so on Thursday night. We ran out to McD's for grub. While we were waiting in the drive-thru, the clock turned to 12:01 and Leo pointed at it and grunted. I finally asked "what?" and he said, "Happy Birthday." He was very pleased because those were the first words I heard on my b-day. :-)

Leo had to work every day I was there, but it was fun because we hung out at the store and I played on the computer and such. Friday evening after work, we went to see "When a Stranger Calls" and afterward we got dinner at Steak 'n Shake. Yum! The movie was very intense...I liked it. Leo paid for my dinner, which was very sweet, too. Oh, oh...and my present was a bath mit for when I took a shower during my stay. There's a little back story to why he picked that as a gift, but it was very thoughtful, and that always means more to me than spending lots of money. I also got a phone call from Nick that day to wish me a happy birthday...that made me smile.

Saturday was the same with work, but then we went to the mall so I could finally use my Victoria's Secret gift card from Christmas. I wanted to get some PJ's or lingerie, but I didn't see anything I liked. I finally decided to buy some Pink perfume. It smells really pretty. ;-) We then went to this new restaurant in Wake Forest that we hadn't been to. It was yummy, too. We relaxed for the rest of the night.

Sunday, Leo only had to work for about 5.5 hrs. since it was Sunday and also the Super Bowl. We ordered pizza from Domino's and vegged out to the game/commercials. I was happy to be spending time with my sweetheart.

I left to come home around 5:30am today to make a 9am dentist appt. I then had a doctor appt. about my hair at 2:30pm. (For those who don't know, I've been super stressed about finding a job and getting out to Raleigh and my hair has been falling out more than usual.) I talked to the doctor and he wanted to have blood work done for my thyroid levels since I used to have hyperthyroidism. He said the increased hair loss could be due to my thyroid, stress, or dandruff. Fun. I just hope nothing is wrong with my thyroid again. AND...when I had my blood drawn, the lady couldn't find my vein in my right arm and after digging in there three times, she decided to try my left arm...which hurts. Oy.

This evening my mom and step-dad gave me a birthday cake. My mom got it from Cold Stone. Yummy! Chocolate cake with sweet cream ice cream (which had heath bar and marshmallows mixed in). It was great.

Well, I guess that's about it for now. I'm very ready to be living in Raleigh with Leo. I want a job there NOW. Leo's already found an apt. and he'll be moving in there soon. It's really nice. Two bedrooms, two baths, fireplace, washer/dryer/dishwasher in the unit. I'm excited, but depressed at the same time. Depressed because I want us to move in together, but I can't go yet. Blah.

On a happy note, though...Leo is the greatest man. He was absolutely sweet this weekend. I can really tell he misses me. It shows. I'm ready to be with him again, but I am thankful for our time apart because it has made us appreciate each other more. I love you, sweetheart!

I'm off to bed. It's been a tiring day. Good night, everyone!
