The 43rd Glorious Note of Autor, Decendant of Drosselmeyer

Feb 24, 2009 19:22

PEOPLE OF THE NETWORK, I COMMAND YOUR ATTENTION!

The talentless hack of an heir, Fakir, has accepted my challenge of a writing contest. It is up to the public to be the judge. Read the following poems on the theme of love, then vote for the one you believe is the best!

Untitled, by Fakir
The fresh drops of a summer morning's dew
A moonlit night of countless brilliant stars
Their serenity and radiance cannot hope to compare
To the luminous rays of midday sun that you unleash anew

Curtains of imaculate white in a flowing spring breeze
A thousand oceans of purest blue
Even the fires of a sunset blazing with all their might
Beauty that will never please

For a heart grown cold
Needs but a special, simple warmth
The curve of a smile, the welcome of a voice
Nothing more to behold

In Remembrance of the Black Swan, by Autor
She appeared to me as if in a dream
And at the time I was sure it was one
Her ruby eyes warmed my heart like a beam
Of the golden rays of the midday sun

The princess spoke with a deity’s voice
Commanding, breathtakingly beautiful
But following her was only my choice
About my love there was nothing spellful

I followed her down into the darkness
For her I would follow even to Hell
But she rejected me with laugh mirthless
When I admitted how hard I had fell

Although she may never believe it’s true
I meant every last word of “I love you”

Poll Decide the winner!
