[a click, and then a sigh from Autor. In the background are the usual hospital sounds--beeping machines, some people walking back and forth in the hall outside his room. In addition is the sound of Autor's fingertips drumming impatiently against a table.]
...Sorry for scaring everyone last night. It's not that bad. Just a cut in my hand and a bump on the head. Stupid, it was stupid. Just a curse day...stupid mistletoe curse...one harmless little kiss...hmph.
Thanks for taking me to the hospital, Vash. But now they won't let me leave. They've bandaged my hand, checked my head, what more do they want? There's nothing more they can do. Let me go back home and celebrate Christmas, for the love of...
Sorry for causing a commotion after the ballet. Everyone, you did great. Rue, you were lovely, of course. I'll be coming home sometime this evening, I think. So...no reason to worry.

He's going to be furious with me when he gets back. And he'd have the right to, I kissed her, made it harder for her to see people...

Sooo, after thinking about it, here's what I've decided on: Autor's got a pretty bad wound in his hand, considering the knife could've easily gone straight through and Joshua's strength and anger at the time. He probably has a broken bone or two, so I'm guessing it'll be out of commission for...let's say a month. So no piano, archery, etc for a while, and he'll be stuck making voice posts until then.
Also--Joshua slammed him against the wall pretty hard, so I've decided he hit the back of his head and got a concussion. Nothing serious, but probably enough to give him some symptoms. I've actually had a concussion of that sort, so I know from experience that it'll seem fine for a few days and then he'll get some dizzy spells and double vision. I'm lessening the symptoms from when I had it, though--I figure the wound on his hand is enough, and I don't really want him to be...the victim yet again. XD; If that makes sense. So, his symptoms will last for...let's say a month and a half with the concussion. And they'll be off and on, so some days he'll be perfectly fine and some days he'll stay in bed because of the nausea from the dizzy spells. I'll make him well enough on most days for plots and curses and the like. Sound good for everyone? Tutu crew, this won't throw a wrench in anything will it? I don't want his injuries to cause any problems for anyone, so let me know.
Aaaalso...Autor will be downplaying his injuries because (1) he thinks this time, it was sort of his fault, (2) he doesn't want to spoil Christmas and the after-ballet celebrations, and (3) he listened through some of his voice posts last night, and I'm guessing he also passed out when Vash took him to the hospital, so...he's really freaking embarrassed by how weak/pitiful/freaked out he sounded and wants to downplay it as much as possible. XD; [In his mind, Fakir had the same injury, and he's ticked off that Fakir was still able to write and finish the story and he fainted. Even though technically Autor's was worse, but he's still mad and frustrated by it. XD;;] So yeah. Not much whining from him, at least for now.
