Ode to the Construction Workers....

...across the street building the Natural History Museum:

Stop the honking of the horn when you leave for the day and I am sitting on the balcony,
I am a married woman dammit! The man you see outside during the day with me is not some gay
man I am housing,
I understand I don't look like the women here (because I don't have blonde hair) and my butt
is twice the size of some,
but that doesn't mean you can lay on the horn of your company truck until I look at you.
Smiling and waving to me with the dumbest smile I have ever seen in my life won't get you
in my pants any faster.
So go home to your wife and kids and leave me the fuck alone!

So now that is out of the way on to an update of my hum drum life:

I have been in super cleaning mode lately, cleaning every room of the apartment and making it sparkle. All except the living room, I am beginning to think it is a lost cause. Everytime I start to clean it I get distracted or discouraged and quit. For the first time since I have been here I am starting to miss Louisiana. I didn't think that was possible but there are just little things that I miss like having a semi-interesting city less than 30 minutes away and having straight and non-hilly streets. That doesn't mean I don't like it here, because I do. Everyone I have met is nice and scenery here is gorgeous.

Well I need to get dressed so I can go to Roanoke to order a bridesmaid dress for one of the two weddings I am in, in July.

Leave me so lovin'!
