Hmmm... it has been a while.
If you know that someone has been thinking of buying something for themselves, but never got around to it for some reason, and you keep telling them for two days in a row - as you pass by that particular place where said thing is sold - that they should try it on and you will buy it for them as a gift, and they say that they will buy it themselves later on when they have enough money for it, and reject your offer for the nth time; and to top it off, tell you that you don't really mean what you say, and just say it for the sake of saying it and do it reluctantly, and you get really upset and start walking faster to your destination leaving them behind so as not to start a quarrel out in the street and to calm down and let it go; and you hear them saying after you that it was just what you wanted in the first place, and you are dodging the issue; and you ignore their words and go on walking, and they finally catch up with you, and start telling you off saying that they hope it felt good leaving them behind like that, and you always do such things and you are just stingy with money, and you just shake your head and roll your eyes and cannot believe the things you hear and don't say much not only because you are shocked, but also believe that there is no point in saying anything anymore except that if you did not mean it, then you would not even bring it up and just keep your mouth shut, and they still continue with their hurtful words..
it makes you wonder how they could really think and talk like that, doesn't it?
