New Orleans...
I know that most you you read deadpansev journal talking about the day by day goings on while we were in New Orleans, but I thought that I would write a bit as well.
I first of all want to say that I really miss hanging out with Dennis. I never really realized how much I actually missed him until I was able to spend a few days with him. I really miss hanging out wathching TV with him and laughing about silly things. I know that that might be the last time I see him, unless I make the effort to go back to New Orleans. Once his baby comes, he will never make it back out to Denver to visit. I will have to cherish the time that I was able to see him.
New Orleans in general is a very dingy place and it made me miss Denver more then ever. People that work in New Orleans act like the world owes them and they in return give crappy service. The only places that really cared was a restaurant the Dennis and Sharon took us to. The hotel pissed me off the most. No matter how many times I told them about the door to our room not locking, they didn't care. Johnny said we should have demanded another room and he might have been right, but at the same time, if they really cared they would have offered to move us.
I was really happy to have my cell phone while I was there. Thank goodness I also had GPS navigator as well. There were a few places that Sev and I wanted to eat at, and we would have never found it without that GPS. I believe that we did most or all of the touristy type of things that could be done in NOLA so overall I had a good time.
Today I am feeling sick. I have a sound in my lungs when I breathe and cough a bit. I seem to always get some kind of bug after being on a plane. Maybe it was because I returned to work the day after getting off the plane and then worked my ass off because we were short staffed. Today I will stay home and watch movies. Its supposed to snow like mad today, but in our part of town, it snowed only 1 inch and now is windy as hell. maybe the people up north are getting more snow than us.
