update of sorts and picspam
This week, notwithstanding the Monday morning feeling yesterday, and the fact that I am skint, and that someone stole my lunch AGAIN, I am feeling more positive than I have for at least a month.
Anyway after drooling muchly over my Placebo - Soulmates Never Die dvd last night, here I give you a few pics of some of the bands/artists that have influenced me greatly, over the years. I haven't included any bands/artists that have influenced me but were no longer together when I first became interested in music, eg The Doors etc. But there you go!
Abba - my first music love!
Depeche Mode - my favourite band ever, and probably always will be.
Prince - he just blew me away when I first saw him back in the early eighties
Robert Smith - The Cure, another band that I will always love and adore
Mike Scott - The Waterboys. Hmmmm the first time I heard The Whole of the Moon I was hooked, and still am
Matt Johnson - The The. what can I say - get your ass back into the recording studio Matt!
Nick Cave - plain and simply - a genius
Siobhan Fahey - *sigh*
Andy Cairns - Therapy? If you don't know by now I am a Therapy? fan, hahaha where have you been?
Tony Wright - Terrorvision. What a live band. Words can't describe, though I do try my best.
Gwen Stefani - I saw her in concert in the early nineties and have been hooked ever since
Placebo and David Bowie - 2 for the price of 1 *G*
David Gray - I love his lyrics
Dave Gahan - because I love him :)
