Write a letter to someone you miss.
In a locked drawer, within a locked safe, within a locked room of Gwen Raiden's apartment, there is an assortment of letters. They are in chronological order, and the handwriting and language becomes more mature with each increasing year. Gwen rarely touches these, but today she's feeling nostalgic. She picks one up. The messy, girlish handwriting of a thirteen year old is quite familiar to the woman, who allows herself a small smile.

Dear Tommy,
They've had you in punishment for six days now, even though I bet you know that. I've been tryin to keep an ear out and figure out where their keepin you and as soon as i do you can bet your sweet ass i'm gettin you outta there. Yes I said 'ass.' I'm sure your proud. I already asked Mrs. Thorpe if they could let you go earlier but she said no. I even asked nicely, I swear! But she seemed kinda angry I guess. Think they know what im up to? I gotta learn to be more secretive.
Class is boring without you. oh, im doing fine my own, like i usually do but its always funner when we team up. i think these teachers really hate it. i kinda think they hate me too. gee wonder why?
im doing some research an asking around to try to figure out where they couldve put you this time. did you try talkin your way out of it? i dont even think what you did was that bad this time. they need to lighten up. it's just cuz we cause trouble. sometimes i think that they try to do this to keep us seperated. in there dreams.
anyway, thorpe keeps banging on my door to get me to go down to monday meeting. im gonna give her this when i see her which she BETTER give to you. i miss you.
don't worry. ill give em hell why your gone. you know me.
Love,
Gwen R.
