Yipee! Finally managed to go for Corrinne May's concert after missing last year's one at the Esplanade. One word - Awesome.
She looked resplendent in a strapless red gown plus the bantering that she made with the audience throughout the concert, I guess she pretty much won the audience over. Or at least me. Gave her a standing ovation at the end of her performance.
Sang some songs from her first two albums, a few which I really liked. Plus 3 new songs. The last one - Beautiful Seed, was really moving and meaningful. The music arrangement was really well done too. Unlike those of her older songs.
Stayed back for the autograph signing session and picture taking. Like a silly young boy. Queued for almost 2 hrs to get her signature and to take a photograph with her. But it was all worth it lah. She came out from where she was signing autographs to take pictures with whoever that wanted to. She was really sweet and obliging. Plus the fact, she was really personal. Talking to her fans as she signed for them. Very real and personal. She knows how to win people over lah. This is what I call a winsome person lah!!
My weekend was amazing because of Corrinne May. Rushing my assignment so that I wouldn't feel guilty about attending her concert was all worth it. Coming up in my next entry...my pic with her..:)
