To Whom It May Concern:
I went into your Wal-Mart store to purchase three (3) items. I zoomed in, grabbed what I needed, and headed to the self-check out where there was one customer purchasing items. The cashier informed me that they were closed. I headed half-way down the store to the next register, who also informed me she was closed. I trekked it all the way down to the other end of the store where the best line I could find took me over twenty (20) minutes to get to the cashier. I had three (3) people in front of me. I timed the cashier. She took from 8:54 pm to 9:04 pm on one (1) customer, who only had one (1) buggy of groceries. It took me less time to drive home than it did for her to check out the cust. before me, who only had half a buggy of items. I have worked as a cashier. I know that it is not a fun job and she very well may have been tired. I also know that we all have things we need to do, and do well. I know that if she had put just an ounce of effort into paying attention to what she was doing and moving her body, instead of staring into space and chatting, she could've gotten through at least twice as many customers in that amount of time. I also know that if you had kept more registers open, and did not have employees who decide to close theirs ten (10) minutes early, then this issue would already be half solved.
In short, fuck you Wal-Mart. I hate you.
