Goodness! its hard to keep a regular journal with all thats been happening. We were warmly recieved after averting the crisis with the doppleganger. I have a wonderful pair of spectacles that allow me to read anything. It is very nifty. We decided to bring the poor little Armadillos home. Which was actually easier than i would of thought. I"m still upset that there are cultures that believe that ritual sacrafice does anything more then unheeded bloodshed, but.. that is not my place to intervene.

after dropping the little fellows off (oh i will miss them) we went into the library. I was excited to learn more bard lore. Finally! after seeing the Bards back on earth and enjoying their song for so long, i can learn myself! Everyone believes me a child on this planet, i will make full use of the assumption and learn all that i can. I've aquired a violin. oh its so pretty! i will soon sell the staff, well. Once it no longer provides the magical boost i've come to expect. The violin will be a more interesting way to cast spells..

Any way, i learned a song about the dragons. and i learned about the new animals of power. THis planet is weird to me, it seems to just syphone off extra energy into dragon eggs or animals at will. Pecuiliar. I will figure this out!

Oh yea, there was a near death experience with Vincent. who likes to kill. I despise that gore.. ugh! i was so ill. But we saved some lives, and that made the experience better.

But theres been one thing bugging me this whole time. I wanted to see that floating gem up close. We found a ship from the armadillo's home land to bring us to this floating gem. Mostly interested in the magic, i followed my magical eye to a door. And we found an entire underground society! tribal and magic users alike kill kobolds to fill their Pheonix diety's blood thirst.
Now.. kobolds. I have no problem killing. They are willing to allow us to complete the adult rites and become full members of their tribe! To do so, we each need to kill a kobold. They seem to have faith in us. Even after so short a meeting, they gave us a new weapon! sadly is not the bladed kind i've seen the other adults of the tribe use, but it is so much easier to handle! more and more my bulky staff looks worn and due for retirement.

Now.. off to hunt kobolds!
