OOC: Biz from the Moderator
From time to time I'd like to post OOC updates of the behind-the-scenes stuff to keep the players in the loop about some of the stuff that goes on with this community.
Okay, first: you've probably noticed that I've been doing some maintenance. I've made the background image larger and less grainy, and I made the text color lighter so it stands out from the background more. Now that I've finally figured out how to edit this community's layout properly, I'm trying to make the main page as easy to read as possible.
Second, a player who was going to pick up Bruiser was unable to do so because of IRL conflicts. I understood completely, and I wish her well. The good news is that we're getting a Chase Stein and a Julie Power! W00t! Say hi to the_jock and juliepackspower and add them to your friends lists.
Third, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed how much space the opening thread posts take up in the main page, so if at all possible, I'd like for all the starting posts to have lj-cut text. In case you're unfamiliar with lj-cut, just type either [lj-cut] or [lj-cut text="Insert link text here"], with <> instead of []. Does that make sense. The first couple of paragraphs can be outside of the LJ-cut, but this way the bulk of the opening post can be hidden. Yes, I'm as guilty of flooding the main page with long opening posts, but let's see if we can cut down the sheer length of scrolling.
And fourth, suggestions for improving this community are always welcome.
