Oh nice work! You've got the animation working very fluidly, which is something I can't quite manage in my own, and the images themselves have a lovely look to them. I've taken 1,5 and 9 for the moment.

Thank uuuu <3
I spend a lot of time on actually capturing the pictures for the animtions. But there's no real trick to it other than being very selective about which frames are not needed to make it work and how fast the amination is. I capture about 8 frames pr. second. Unless we're talking icons like the last two ^^

And oooh, your icon xD I was in love the moment I saw that scene <3

I gather you use a proper animation program?
I use classic media play to grab my screen caps, and then Photoshop.

Yep, this one is one of mine - what the boys do on screen is far more entertaining, but when I grabbed those caps and put them in, it looked odd without adding a *lot* more caps - and that made the file too big.

I can usually get in about 12 frames. You?

I use Movie Maker to make the captures, you can get every single frame very easily like that.

Use Photoshop and ImageReady to do the rest. At 128 color around 8-10 frames, 64 round 10-15. Sometimes I don't get it cause I can fit in 20 frames an still keep it LJ sized. I only use less than 64 color when I can't see a difference. ImageReady can also be used to decide how fast the frames will follow each other. Usually I need to trim down the speed to around 0,1 secs until next frame is shown. ^^

Cheers for the tips!

The ones with the more frames - I'm guessing those images have a lot more black in them. I'm pretty sure both jpeg and gif compression works around the amount of black pixels - so if the images are dark, they're easier to compress.

Ooh, never knew that! That might be - I'll look out for that the next time I make some icons. Which might be soon, so your repeated use of that icon makes me want to do a close up version and put blushes on their gagged faces :D *pervert laugh*
