Okay, so I know how epically inconsiderate it is to preface a fic comment with "I don't like this pairing but..." - but I'm gonna do it. And I apologize profusely for it as I don't want that statement to nullify what comes after it 'cause one really effects the other.

Morgan/Reid really isn't my thing BUT your stories always make me forget that. No matter what there's always something that works wonderfully well, or a lovely turn of phrase, or an image that lingers long afterwards... From this one I get the tremendous sense of waste between them. It breaks the heart - truly. That they have been broken by an act as intangible and unalterable as the wind... Dude, I'm tearing up here.

Thanks (again) for forcing me out of my OTP ;)

oh my gosh, you have NOTHING to apologize for. in this case (at least for me and every other writer I know), saying that M/R isn't your pairing doesn't nullify the compliments that follow - that amplifies it. I've told this to other writers before and it's always been a major compliment.

because the fact that I'm writing them well enough that you forget that they're not your OTP and I'm breaking your heart is like...wow, just...wow.

and then the rest of your comment...oh god, thank you so very much!
