[Scout continues to swing when Finland first approaches as he really doesn't care - oh shit that guy's got a knife. He lowers the bat but doesn't let go of it.]

[Scout snatches the ball out of the air with his free hand.] Hey, thanks, pally!

[Scout just backs away from Finland, smirking all the while, bat over his shoulder casually. ]

Wassa matter? No one ever teach ya how ta catch a ball? Man, folks in this town sure are tense!

[Not just a jackass, but an incredibly speedy and well-trained jackass! Scout can run backwards faster than most people can run forwards. It was practically his specialty.

He let Finland chase him around the yard, dodging and laughing. He was clearly enjoying this.]

[Once he's far enough out of reach, and Finland has slowed down enough, Scout leans on the porch railings, still smirking. ]

C'mon pally, I ain't even winded! So ya go that outta yer system yet? Ya done now, 'r do we gotta keep up this merry li'l chase?

[Good thing for Scout that he's a light sleeper, when he actually managed to get it. He raised his eyebrows at Finland.]

I'll take dat as a yes. Try 'n relax, pally! Don't let the town get ta ya so much!

[He picks up what was left of his bucket of baseballs and started to head inside, watching his back.]
