[So, no one at 1451 Mitchell has touched the milk. So what does this get you? One (1) droned Scout - or to be precise, Officer McCann. And Officer McCann is out and about looking to mow people down with his trusty scattergun, the Force-A-Nature, for any slight infraction. Maybe your parking meter ran out of time, you're jaywalking, or the tail ( Read more... )

drone time, he'll regret this later, event: cream of the cop, officer mccann?, derp, dat icon

((OOC: Touko's over to check on Shiki! So this happens at house, hope you don't mind us three-waying this? o/;; Order's Touko > Shiki > Scout?))

[So a fellow town member is over to visit your wife! With all the insane milk shenanigans going on, Touko had to swing over once to check on her employee, so when Scout comes back, he'll find both woman talking in the living room.]

Ah. The effects are made to be undetectable. Even with the equipment at my place, no test revealed any result. The 'husband' took it upon himself to drink it every day with the firm belief that he'll get stronger from it. ...I normally wouldn't want anything to do with that level of masochism, but his recklessness is saving us some trouble too, so I'll act when things can be helped.

[She glances sideways when she hears the doorknob click, but doesn't turn her head and keeps facing Shiki. And yes once Scout comes in, he'll notice the visitor openly smoking in your house. Women smoking inside a police officer's home isn't against the law, is it...?]

That's why I can't see anything in it then I guess. [Though it's still kinda weird to accept that. THINGS HER EYES CAN'T KILL... but it's just mundane shit this is no fun. But she kinda snickers at Touko.] Seems kinda sad to let him just do everything on his own. You sure you're not just getting a kick out of this?

[And she notices Scout coming home as well, but whatever it's not like he cares what she's does right...]

[Shiki might care when hubby comes home, all drone!smiles and brandishing his scattergun.]

Good afternoon, ladies! Not gossiping again, I hope!

Not at all. If you knew him, you'd agree with me.

[The hang holding onto the cigarette lowers a little, and yes alarms are going off for her just seeing the gun.

...

She can pick up the faint whiff of gunpowder. That gun has recently been used. Her demeanor shifts, and Shiki will definitely notice. True, the fact that Red Mage drank the milk every day made it so that no one ever became killdroned at her place, but she's paid attention enough to the town to be aware of what's happened to Scout.]

Ah, good afternoon, officer. I was just over visiting your wife; you know how I was her upperclasswoman in high school. We weren't talking about anything particularly important, so there's no need to be concerned. What about you? How was work today?

[While she couldn't care less about a gun, the smiling was definitely something off. Noticing Touko's change as well, and hearing her talk now, it was probably best to play along with this.]

Welcome home, Scout. [Good thing she remembers how to be quiet and reserved...]

Another great day on the town! But gee, I sure am bushed. I was really hoping to see dinner all ready.

And why do you have to keep calling me by that ridiculous nickname? I really don't get it.

[Don't mind him reloading his scattergun now.]

With the rise of a new Police Officer Chief, you must have had some readjusting to do, hm? It'll be ready soon, mister McCann, though I have to add, it's indecent of you to bring you gun back home like that. Think of the children, too; couldn't you have left that holstered, at the very least?

[Oh of course not. Touko herself is toying with her cigarette right now. She's fully on guard, but displaying nothing like fear or offensive intent. Just... Waiting.

Except she's really actually starting the motion of drawing something, but subtle enough so that the small gestures wouldn't be noteworthy.

Shiki, you better remember where you put your knife... maybe.]

I always thought it was a nice nickname. You don't like it anymore? [Guuurl when is it not tucked away nice and safely in her obi. Though inwardly she's just sighing; sure she was always looking for an interesting fight, but this didn't look like it'd be interesting at all.]

I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell me what I can and cannot do in my own house, ma'am.

[Nope, not too interesting. Just all droned and ready to blast, aiming at Touko and pulling the trigger.]

[Oh well in that case.

She doesn't move as she finishes sketching the symbol with her cigarette.]

Nauthiz!

[The flare flashes at the butt of the smoke, at the same time that the bullet leaves Scout's gun ( ... )

[Shiki wastes no time in slipping out her knife and crossing the short distance between her and Scout, aiming for a line in the gun that would cut it clean in half and thus render it useless.]
