So I have a new job in the new year and I am currently living in a new place. The new joint is temporary but it is really really nice and I wish I could stay here but … the dinero is tough. I am living by myself and it is not as weird as I thought it would be. Kinda cool actually but I don’t know how long it will last. I am also enrolled in a really fun design class in the arts department and I am very seriously contemplating getting a masters in art. The only sucky thing as of now is that I don’t have a portfolio simply because I have never had the artistic skills. I am really enjoying the class right now and I will post some of my work online pretty soon.
Other than work and school, I am now cooking on a very regular basis and it has been more than two weeks since I last bought food from a restaurant or something. Talking about preparing things to eat, about three months ago I learnt a pretty cool trick and I thought I would share it with everyone here (even though I am pretty sure that everyone probably knew about this like year ago). My previous roommate taught me to chop up apples and soak (by this I mean like a four apples to one lemon ratio) them in lemon juice. This ensures that the apples don’t turn brown when you leave them out and in addition they taste soooo good. As a matter of fact, ever since this experience I just cannot have apples without lemons. I have tried it before with lemon juice I got from the store but the effect was really sucky. Squeeze the lemons yourself.
I still need to post my December pictures and then my art assignments. I am having technical issues which I hope to solve within the next month after which … Oooh well. Tomorrow’s Monday so I gotta check out the bed sheets.
