... man in black? ...
Well my journal is turning to be more of an account of what I did during the weekend and what I learnt/experienced so here goes … I actually got a chance to do something during the week. I went go-kart racing on Tuesday and I got back home with a couple of blisters on my hands (I did 15 half mile laps packed with turns in a manual steering so don't even think of calling me soft!).
Anyway, I did the big drive to the Rosa, passed by Frisco. Listening to “when doves cry” by Prince had me thinking of the seventies (I know the song came out in the 80's) but think - the days you would walk up to a girl and be like “Dig if you will this picture …”. I walked SC's dog, a pug, and it actually incited warm fuzzies in places in my heart that I have never felt before. It was really intriguing watching the dog pee on about 15 different trees and just sniff around for random stuff. It was really cool. I am still too lazy though to ever own pets other than fish.
I went out to a West African Highlife Band performance in Berkeley on my way back to San Jose on Saturday at the Ashkenaz. One of the guys was part of Fela's Egypt 80 band. The drive back to San Jo was brutal. I was fighting to keep awake and I had to resort to playing songs that I knew all the lyrics to so that I could sing along loudly with both windows open in the freezing cold to stay awake. Sunday was a day wasted with the idiot box. I watched “Sin City” and I thought it was awesome. It would be nice if there would be more movies like those. Anyway, I am just buying time before 'Robot chicken” starts. A friend of mine told me it was awesome and I can't wait to see it. Plans: Rest of week, work as usual. Friday - Flight to Vegas baby for a fun weekend!
