Doctor Who (Amongst Other Things)
Back again! Whoo!
So yeah, watched the latest episode of Doctor Who yesterday seeing as was out for Phil's (guy who works in the Gift department with Charlie) birthday celebrations on saturday. Thought it was excellent, and I love the Sontarans, it was so nice to see a 'monster' that wasn't even part CGed. Also, Donna FTW, the more I watch the more I love her. She's just so good at smacking the Doctor down, and that's exactly what he needs. 'Great big outer-space dunce!' Hee hee ^___^
However, the trailer for the next episode. @_@
The Doctor's DAUGHTER!? What? Whilst I am sure there is a rational explanation for this the fangirl in me is screaming; 'Noo! The Doctor and Rose did not have hot space sex and make super cute, bendy, time babies!' I am thinking that maybe the Doctor's saying he created her in the sense that he made her into a gun-totting, laser-jumping babe, or that she's maybe his daughter with another Time Lord or possibly she's some experiment the Time Lords had and the Doctor grew her and sent her away from the war or something. Laura (
ferretwho) has also suggested she may be Romana's. I await the next episode with trepidation. My mind is ablaze with ideas, all of which are distracting me from my coursework something chronic. So, without further ado I return you to non-spoiler land!
So yes, today Laura popped over for a cup of tea and a chat, which is always nice, but especially nice when I haven't really seen anyone for quite a while. Hopefully that will change after tomorrow evening when I am free of coursework responsibilities. Also, soon people will be coming back from Japan, yey! There shall be fun anime fandom nights, and hopefully I'll be able to role play one night a week so I can get back into that. I doubt I will run the Vampire game I've been working on for quite some time though. I need to consolidate the characters and history into a coherent whole this summer, and then I will have to work on getting hold of the actual books.
So yeah, feeling slightly less lonely now. Am ready to face the day (once I've had some food *stomach grumblies*). I shall endeavour to get at least half of my coursework done today. Word count updates depending on boredom. ^__^
