I spy one tiny flaw in your plan. If you've gone off to your new life, it'll be hard to reach us to kill us. Of course, you could use the giant orbital mind control lasers, or hire a team of crack pirate ninja monkeys, but it sounds like a lot of work ;-)

I wanted to not reply to watch everyone die, and laugh maniacally. However I noted that i might die. Me dying is unacceptable.
